Prior to the book signing event, Prof. Yossi Sheffi gave a presentation on the likely impacts of future technology in business in general and supply chains in particular. The recent advances in generative AI have raised anxiety among supply chain workers, such as: is ChatGPT going to replace me? Will I be able to participate in the future AI-infused economy? Which tasks involved with container shipping are going to be taken over by AI? How will jobs change? Prof. Sheffi spoke on 10 October, in the Technology Theatre, where he answered these answers.
