The Eccles Medal was established in honor of the late Admiral Henry Eccles, one of the most highly respected logisticians of the 20th Century. SOLE - The International Society of Logistics presents this award to recognize outstanding achievements in the development of logistics education. Professor Sheffi received the Eccles medal at the annual SOLE conference in Orlando, FL, where he also gave the keynote address.
